The app is designed to perform its private tasks on the user’s device and to collect as little information as possible.
Plain-language summary
The medical card, selected language, and related preferences use browser storage on your device. A package photo selected in the OTC finder is previewed only in the current browser tab and is not saved by the app.
Kumamoto Health Guide was created by Wayne Asera as an independent health-information guide for international residents, students, and visitors.
The app may save your optional medical card, language choice, and related preferences in browser storage. You can remove the medical card inside the app or clear this website's data in browser settings.
If you choose “use my location,” the browser asks for permission. Coordinates are used on the device to estimate nearby facilities. You can deny or revoke access in browser settings.
The photo preview uses a temporary local browser address. The app does not upload the file, add it to the medicine catalog, or preserve it after the tab is closed or the photo is removed.
The service worker may cache app pages, interface assets, and public facility data so core features can keep working. It does not intentionally cache the private medical card or the temporary package photo.
The app does not currently include a third-party analytics service. Normal server and hosting security logs may process technical request information under the hosting provider's own terms.
The app's core translated labels are included in the app. Detailed medical content stays in English. If you use a browser translation feature, that browser or translation provider handles the translated text under its own privacy terms.
Official sources, map searches, phone links, PMDA, manufacturer pages, and related apps have their own privacy policies and terms. Opening one leaves this app and may share normal browser information with that service.
If an external donation, coupon, or partner link is added, that service will handle any contact or payment activity. Kumamoto Health Guide does not process card payments directly.
The app does not currently display third-party advertising. If advertising is introduced, this notice will be updated. Advertising will stay away from emergency actions, medical search rankings, medicine safety warnings, and private medical-card content.
